My arranging has been in the area of percussion, I specialize in writing for the front ensemble (aka. pit) and battery(marching percussion) section of marching bands / drum corps. Not only I have many years of experience in designing for high schools in the bay area, I also have experience designing for drum corps (Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets).

It’s my goal to always write a musical yet competitive percussion parts.  I can write music that is at the member’s level and at the same time challenge the members. Music that compliments the horns as well as feature the percussion section appropriately.

- Percussion Arrangement -
Providing competitive arrangements or compositions for Battery (marching percussion) and/or Front Ensemble (Pit) for your marching band or indoor (winter) percussion.
Music will look professional with the notes and sticking clearly written. (in hard copy and/or in PDF)

- Computer Generated Demo -
With the advancement of computer technology, it is now possible to create a VERY realistic demo of marching band, and winter percussion. Having a very realistic demo is very beneficial for 2 reasons
1. Design purpose
Musical design in a competitive marching band is one of the most important factor in the overall score. You can have a great understanding of what you want your band to sound like months before you hear a single note from the members. You will be able to hear what works and what doesn’t work way in advance.
2. For the students to play along to
From my experience, this works specially great with drumline. Drumline are asked to get used to the right tempo so that the band can be consistent and I believe this is one of the best method.

You have the option to have a CD and/or mp3 recording of the music for your drumline to play along to with a click track(metronome) using Virtual Drumline 2.

Along with the recording of the percussion part, generating horn sounds using Finale and crate CDs and/or mp3 of the WHOLE BAND played through MIDI equipments to get a great idea of what your show is going to sound like even before you hear a single note from the band.
